Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Fly knocked me for a loop when I saw it theatrically in 1986, and it continues to be an excellent movie. A moving tragedy, it remains deep and involving. Starring Jeff Goldblum, Geena Davis. Fox, $7.99, 10/9/2007.

3. Independence Day [4K UHD] (1996)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Many folks dislike Independence Day and hold it up as an example of all that's wrong with big-budget, brainless action flicks. To those people I say this: relax! Take fun and exciting movies like this for what they are and save the brainpower for your next perusal of Dostoyevsky. Starring Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum. Fox, $14.99, 6/13/2017.

4. The Lost World: Collector's Edition (1997)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Slam The Lost World if you like, and call me an idiot; you won't be the first or the last. Nonetheless, I liked the film when I first saw it in 1997 and I continue to enjoy it. The movie is flawed but still a lot of fun, and it works well as pure action and excitement. The Blu-ray provides good picture, awesome audio and a nice collection of supplements.

8. Adam Resurrected [Blu-Ray] (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If nothing else, Adam Resurrected provides an unusual twist on a Holocaust drama. Unfortunately, the film fails to find anything impactful to do with the material, so it becomes an oddly uncompelling character piece. Starring Jeff Goldblum, Willem Dafoe. MVD, $19.95, 6/22/2021.

9. The Fly (1986) / The Fly II (1989)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: In the end, I do recommend this DVD, and not just as a rental; it's something that fans of the genre should own, I think. It’s worth it since The Fly is such a great movie. The presence of The Fly II means nothing to me, but I must admit that the double feature concept has some merit as long as not all of the titles are this lop-sided. Fox, $14.98, 9/5/2

10. The Switch [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With a fun premise and a good cast, The Switch has potential to be a winning romantic comedy. Unfortunately, it just feels flat. Though it’s not an unpleasant 101 minutes, it’s also rather forgettable. The Blu-ray boasts very good visuals, perfectly adequate audio and a small collection of supplements. While I think the Blu-ray presents the movie well, t
